We could very soon be moving to the 64bit revolution....
Would MB work on a 64bit PC...has anyone tried it ??
I do know that people are now creating softwares or atleast making them 64bit compliant.
Can't imagine the performance
Regards. |

It would be a very bad 64 bit OS that doesn't allow a 32 bit app to run. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thought I had seen somewhere in the preference that you can choose whether it is a 32bit or 64 bit and not 100% sure but thought it was in V6. |

The only 64 bit software that IBM makes, that I know of, is DB2.
You know, other than their OSes. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

WebSphere MQ V6 on AIX, Solairs, HP-UX and Linux/pSeries is 64 bit
Broker V6 will support 64 but execution groups (which you can mix with 32 bit EGs in the same broker). _________________ -wayne |

I guess I hadn't noticed the 64bit in MQ v6.
Do you mean "Broker v6 does support 64bit EGs"? Or did you really mean will?
Is this a feature to be added in the first RP? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Well according to the preferences under Broker config there is an option there to select the architecture the EG is to be running on either 32 or 64 bit and there is nothing on the IBM site to suggest that this isn't avail and that it is a future preference option. |

WMB v6 GA does not support this but WMB v6 will support this at a future FP level. Some of the functionality to support this may already be visible within the GA release. _________________ Regards, Ian |
