Hi,
As part of the MQ WorkFlow migration ( From 3.3.2 to 3.5 ) I migrated DB2 UDB from 7.1+FP5 to DB2 V8.1 + FP2
After migration we took the backup and restore it, It is giving below error.
"D:\temp\dbbackup>db2 restore database tmpdb from .
SQL2570N A database cannot be restored on a platform that does not match the
platform on which the backup image was created."
Is it the migration problem ?
What procedure I need to follow to solve this issue ?
It is very urgent !!!!!!!!!
Note : I tried to install DB2 V8.1 + FP2 freshely in other system and tried to restore the database it works fine.
Thanks

This is a DB2 question not an workflow question, but...
Did you try taking an extract from the database instead creating an image. I'm pretty sure the image will hold a lot more information about the system than what you need. An extract should just give the sql that you need to import into the new, upgraded database. |

Are you restoring a image taken in the same platform?
I guess you cannot restore a db2 aix db in a db2 windows

Hi,
Yes I tried on the same machine(Windows 2000 Advanced Server).
But, finally I uninstalled older version after taking DB2 backup. And then reinstalled new version. And migrated the databases.
(Actually when u restore the database using RESTORE db2 command at that time the command automatically migrates the database.)
Thanks For reply
