POSITION SUMMARY – Lead EAI Administrator – Internal Integration
Under the general direction of the Integration Applications Manager, the position formulates/defines system scope and objectives for applications supporting the EAI application. This position will configure, test, debug, validate, and implement new/modified applications using WebSphere tools and technologies. The position is also responsible for installing, upgrading, and configuring WebSphere Technologies on multiple platforms. Supports WebSphere Technologies in a production environment, and works with business and company personnel to resolve production issues. Serves as a consultant on projects involving various EAI applications. This position will design, prepare specifications, and do development. This position requires an innovative and creative individual who manages projects of complexity to meet business objectives.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES
• Devise or modify programs or procedures to solve complex problems relating to data transmission and transformation.
• Participates in establishing, documenting, maintaining and following Information Technology standards.
• Oversee the EAI Administrators to ensure all standards are complied with.
• Deploy WMQ, WBI, Workflow, CrossWorlds Objects to Development, Test, and Production Environments.
• Ensure issues are thoroughly documented and resolved in a timely manner.
• Evaluates, configures, tests, implements and provides technical support for assigned hardware and software platforms of considerable size and complexity. Third party outsourcing is utilized where applicable, to meet customer requirements and needs.
• Works independently to prepare project proposals, requirement documents and system specifications - workflow charts/diagrams, general narrative, and input/output/file definitions for management and user approval following defined system design and development of quality processes.
• Assist in the installation and configuration and management of WebSphere Technologies — MQSeries, Integrator Message Broker, InterChange Server, Workflow, SAP XI.
• Supports users of assigned systems in problem resolution, training and general support.
• Ensures that all assigned business systems and applications have defined, operational and tested backup and recovery processes for critical data and files.
• Analyzes existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness, recommends improvements and develops new systems to improve production or workflow, as required.
• Collects data and conducts system analysis for vendor products to determine which best meets company's strategic business objectives and satisfies the technical architecture requirements.
• Develops and maintains current, personal knowledge and skills on industry and professional trends and activities in Information Technology.
• Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.
• May be responsible for personnel activities inherent to a Supervisor in selecting, training, motivating, coaching, disciplining and evaluating subordinates.
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or other related field
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 5-7 years WebSphere system administration in a distributed platform environment. Requires AIX, AS400 and DB2 knowledge. Development experience with MQSI and knowledge of SAP XI application desired.

• Must have strong problem solving skills and be prepared to be on call 24/7.
• Strong communication skills (written, oral, listening, and interpersonal)
• Strong organizational and data management skills
• Limited supervision will require strong initiative and excellent time management skills.
• Must work with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
• Must demonstrate good judgment, tact, and a clear purpose while under pressure in a very dynamic environment. Must be capable of managing priorities, some with strict deadlines and some which require adjusting to interim changes with a minimum of delay in completion dates.
• Demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally with others to successfully develop and implement related tasks.
* Must be able to interact and work effectively with people at various levels internal and external to the organization. Being able to communicate, coordinate and execute through these interpersonal relationships is critical.
• Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and knowledge of Microsoft Access database functionality. Efficient and effective PC performance abilities.
• Familiar with EAI monitoring and administration including WMQ, WMQI, Workflow, InterChange Server, SAP XI and DB2.
• Administration experience with multiple operating systems environments (OS/400, OS/390, Unix, or Windows) preferred
• Ability to estimate and plan multiple work activities
• Knowledgeable about new technologies and potential benefits on business applications and processes.
• Strong team player and communicator.
