All:

I'm running into a wierd problem. I was able to

1. install the WBIMB6.0 version with toolkit
2. create the configuration manager and start it
3. create the broker and start it
4. open the toolkit and create domain/message flow project etc

I have the following installed

1. MqSeries V5.3
2. WBIMB 6.0
3. Db2 8.2
4: Windows XP Professional

But when i'm trying to create new sample message flow I'm not seeing all the built in nodes(eg: Compute node, filter node etc)

I'm sure that it has something do with the installation process but I just cant figure out what am I missing.

Have you any working experience with Message Broker 5.0 before?

Try this--
Open Broker Application Development perspective from windows in this way.
click on window--->open perspective --> Broker Application Development

Then you will see Pallete where all built in nodes are.

Does this mean you can see some of them? Which ones are missing?

Dipankar: I do have experience on WBIMB 5.

wschutz: I am not seeing Compute, Filter, RouteToLabel, HTTP* etc. I do not remember the complete list on top of my head.

Thanks.

In V6, the list of builting nodes is too big for the window. So, you need to scroll it up/down.
On my 1920x1200 screen, the compute & Filter nodes are down the bottom.

Wishlist item.
Some builtins are often very infrequently used. Perhaps it is possible to edit the ordering of the groups of the builtins.
Or
make the common node type like Compute, Filter etc be at the top of the list whereas, the more infrequently used ones like SCADA, HTTP at the bottom.

If the reccomendation from smdavies99 does not work then I strongly suggest you check the install log and also the amount of free space you have on the hard drive you are installing to.

I did moved the cursor top/bottom. Strange thing is I'm not see WBIMB directory structure in the ClassPath/Path? Will try manually adding the contents.

Thanks.

That's quite normal. The Path/ClassPath is set up when you execute the application.

Cheers,

You do have message broker installed and not event broker don't you ?
The symptoms you are seeing could arise if you had erroneously installed the toolkit for event broker and not message broker.
Appologies if this is not the case but it is worth checking.
I would also recomend uninstalling and re-installing the toolkit. (making sure that the old install was fully removed inbetween)

Unfortunately that is not the case and No need for apologies. I have even tried uninstalling and installing the toolkit(cleaning the file structure and registry in between).

I am reluctant to restore my desktop to dell's default and therefore willing to try any suggestions.

Thanks.

You're sure you got the fixpack for message broker and not the fix pack for event broker?

Did you verify the plugins that it claims are missing are actually installed?

Did you try starting the toolkit with the "-clean" option after re-install?
