Hi
I am trying to import a cobol copybook into my MQSI-2.0.2 on WINNT.
I tried it import my own copybook and it didnot work out... so for testing I used cmqbol.cpy which comes with MQSeries...
It is giving me an error --
"BIP1892E: COBOL Importer operation failed: report file (C:/Program Files/IBM/MQSeries Integrator 2.0/log/cmqbol20020521T225013.rpt) created. "
The COBOL Importer operation encountered one or more errors or conflicts. A report file, (C:/Program Files/IBM/MQSeries Integrator 2.0/log/cmqbol20020521T225013.rpt), has been created that contains further details on the result of the import and any errors.
See the report file for the details.
And the report file looks like :
_____________________________________________________________
Importing COBOL copybook C:\copybook\cmqbol.cpy...
Cannot find a top level for the line [ 10 MQBO ]
Cannot find a top level for the line [ 15 MQBO-STRUCID PIC X(4)]
Cannot find a top level for the line [ 15 MQBO-VERSION PIC S9(9) BINARY]
Cannot find a top level for the line [ 15 MQBO-OPTIONS PIC S9(9) BINARY]
No syntax errors found during parse.
_____________________________________________________________
let me know how to solve it ...
thannks ... |

What exact error did you get while importing your copybook?
Looks like in your copy of cmqbol.cpy file top level element is missing. Shouldn't there be an element with 01 level here? Can you check your copybook here? _________________ Kiran

Have you removed any redefines that might be in your copybook? This usually causes a problem. Also, if you have more than one Filler item defined it seems to cause a problem too. From your error message though it sounds like it can't find the 01 level. Also, check that things are in the right column.
Good Luck!
