What is effort involved in writing our own MQ-CICS bridge ?
Is it worth the effort ? Anyone who has done it before ? |

Many people have written functions similiar to the CICS bridge over the years (I even have back in 96..or mayit it was 97). You can make it real simple or very complex, depending on your needs.
The question is, why not just use the real one?
EDIT: Never mind, I see it's this: http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24892&highlight= _________________ -wayne |

As wayne said, as difficult or as simple as you'll make it - the basics are pretty straight forward, especially since you will probably be able to find examples of this on the net. I've written a CICS bridge myself, a long long time ago, the only tricky part was starting the CICS trans with the correct parameters - but that's what your local CICS admin is for, ya? |
