Hello,
Can someone please tell me where this parm is documented? I have a client who is using Informatica to talk to MQ and I am being asked to set this parm in mqs.ini. I can't find out anything about it in the MQ manuals. I must be missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Kathy

I don't think it is documented.

What it probably does is tell MQ at what point in the heap to start allocating IPC resources, and you're being told to set it because Informatica is trying to use IPC resources in the same section of the heap as MQ, and thus causing a conflict (which is bad).

Why would it not be documented? That's strange. How is someone supposed to know where and how to use the parameter? Do you know where the parm belongs in the mqs.ini file?

Thanks for any help yoy can give.

Regards,
Kathy

It's probably not documented because it is not intended to be used normally - like a lot of the environment variable settings that support will tell you about if you have a dire need for them...

I don't know where in the INI file it goes...

You should be able to be put in touch with IBM support person who recommended/asked for this, or someone should be able to ask them for you where in the ini file it should go.

Well, it's still not documented, but there's a lot more hits (i.e. any) for IPCCBaseAddress when I search IBM's website.
