Hi,
Can somebody point me to some sample Java programs which talks to CICS through the MQSeries-CICS bridge?
I am familiar with MQSeries, but I don't know much about CICS. As an MQSeries programmer, I can only see a message being enqueued and dequeued. If these messages are meant for CICS, then how different the application program is, is what I am interested in knowing.
Thanks,
Rahul. |

The Application Programmers Guide has a complete section on how to create a message destined for the CICS Bridge.

Hi.
I'm a Websphere developper, and I have to deal with the same problems.
I found a sample Java code in the following article :
http://www-ti.informatik.uni-tuebingen.de/~spruth/DiplArb/Busse04.pdf
But I'm still stuck. I would like to use JMS Connection Factory functionnality to build my connection.
Is there someone who could help translating this sample code using com.ibm.mq classes into a sample code using javax.jms classes ?
Thank you. |

Hi.
What have you tried?
What has failed or succeeded?
Can you write code that uses JMS Connection Factory, but doesn't do the CICS stuff, and get that working?
Can you write code that does the CICS stuff, and get that working? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
