Hi,
I am not able to continue MQ v6.0 installation on windows XP. It fails the installation looking for mq6qt.swf file. I have also tried copying the installation CD to my hard disk which fails looking for the same file.
Any idea _________________ Thanks in Advance.

Last week I installed V6.0 on my XP machine without any trouble but my install was from a download rather than a CD.
Have you tried downloading V6.0 from the IBM website? |

If you ask me, you simply have a bent installation CD on your hands - aquire another and try again... |

If you ask me, some more troubleshooting might be useful.
Particularly in determining *where* in the process that the installation breaks.
If it just fails trying to launch the Launchpad... _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

This reminds me about the time I wasted installing v6 on win2k. Finally it turned out to be a problem with the CD. |

Exactly, this problem is also a corrupted file in the CD. I was able to bypass that file by copying it to my harddisk and replacing the corrupted file with a good. Installation was successful.
But hear this, again i am in a jam not sure whether these are connected to the above or not, i will let you guys suggest me.
1) Installation successful - No problem ( except for above)
2) Created local Queue manager - No problem
3) Able to see queuemanager through Explorer - No problem
4) Started the queue manager - No problem
5) Not able to see an option to create a queue or see the sub division below queue manager in explorer - Problem
6) Able to create queue and channel via runmqsc command - No problem
7) Remote queue manager administration, able to see all qmgr, queue, channel objects - No problem.
No errors in MQ error logs.
Any suggestion for my problems mentioned above. _________________ Thanks in Advance.
