Hi,

I am running a Java application on AIX machine.
The user through which i am logging in to AIX is a user different from fmc.
I have added this user to the mqm and fmcgrp groups.

When i run the program, i get the following error:

FMC Error Code = 13
com.ibm.workflow.api.FmcException:
FMC38009E MQSeries Workflow API Error :
API Return Code : 13
Error Origin : /projects/fmc/drv2/lbld/v350/aix/src/fmcjcesv.cxx, line 2450
Error Message : FMC00013E Communication error - Failing Action: open, Reason Code: 2035, Failing Object: FMC.CLIENT.EXC.
Nested Exception : None
at com.ibm.workflow.api.loc.ExecutionServiceImpl.logon(ExecutionServiceImpl.java:241)

Can someone help me on this.

When the same JAVA program when logged in as userID - fmc, it works fine.

What other permisssions are to be given to users other than fmc for the program to run.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

the problem is not the user who is logging on. This user does not need any access rights to MQ. What are the UserIDs you used for starting DB2, MQ, Trigger Monitor, MQWF, WAS? Check the Installation Guide for the proper UserIDs and their required access rights.

User IDs used:
DB2 - db2inst1
WAS - root
MQ, Trigger Monitor, MQWF - fmc...

If i run the application in fmc log in it runs fine.
Any other user it fails..

This application is a stand alone JAVA program, not any program running on WAS.

Thanks,

2035 indicates that the user in question is not authorized to some MQSeries entity that it needs. Adding the user to the listed UNIX groups does not always solve the problem, especially if you don't restart all the MQ and MQWF processes. Use dspmqaut and setmqaut to explicitly set permission for the entities. On AIX, MQWF includes a script to ensure everything is set appropriately: /usr/lpp/fmc/bin/fmczdmqa. Check it out.
