afaik, there isn't a specific support statement ....
but, I (and lots of other IBM'ers) run MQ and Broker under VMWARE without any issues or special configuration. _________________ -wayne |

I've got lots of QMs running on Win2003 that are VMWare images without any issues. Also a few WB-IMB Config Managers as well. _________________ Peter Potkay

All of our WBI ConfigMgrs (and MQ v5.3 for connections) running in vmware images without any problem. It means 5 environments.

I've used VMWare to support "self contained" test machines for MQ and Brokers. But does anyone know how to set up the networking so that you can connect to the VM from the "big bad" outside world, and still retain the ability for the "host" to use the network.
Or, is the only way, to have 2 NICs. One for the host, and one "bridged" fro the VM.

You have to configure the network adapter in VMWare to bridge.
then you can do things like install linux, create a firewall configuration, and test it against the real world or mostly the real world. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
