Question regarding userIDs for running MQ and Broker.

On an AIX system running MQ 5.3, WBIMB, and DB2 v8, is there any reason that the broker and the queue manager shouldn't run using the same userID? Assume that the id is a member of the mqm and mqbrkrs groups.
And what if there are multiple brokers with multiple associated DB2 instances? Can they still use a single ID. Assume that the environment is set correctly at broker startup.
New VISA restrictions regarding shared/system accounts are forcing us to eliminate as many as possible.
Thanks for any insight.

No problems doing this, from what I can see- so long as your sysadmins are happy having one rather powerful user

Just be careful not to lose the logon details...

I guess the disadvantage is that you may want people to have mqm level access to MQ, but not mbrkrs level access to Broker.

True, but I would strive to have individuals authenticate as themselves with membership in the mqm and/or mqbrkrs group as needed. The single "God" account would be very controlled.
