Hi!
We have a scenario where a message goes from QManager A to C via B. (A ---> B ---> C). On QManager B we need to find out the time the message reaches B from A and the time the message comes back from C to B.
Will MQ tracing "strmqtrc" help to find this out. If yes, how do I interpret the MQ trace logs? This is for AIX.
Thanks !! _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist |

If you're using V6 , you can use the "trace route" feature (dspmqrte) to get timings, assuming the aix clocks are synced.
Otherwise, it would be COA report messages, which only would be generated at qmgr C.
and no... strmqtrc isn't going to help .... _________________ -wayne |

dspmqrte is an MQ command, and only available if your version of MQ is 6.0. Please check again. _________________ Peter Potkay
