Hi we are running WBIMB 5.0 csd 06 with oracle 9.0.2 and mqseries 5.3 csd10 on a suns solaris server
when we start the broker, we find that the execution groups starts and then we get a message in our log for 1 or 2 executions groups as shown below. when we do an mqsilist <broker> -e Portia from the command prompt the whole command fails and we then have to kill it. does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening.

Is this a new broker ?
If so, check the LANG environment setting. |

Hi,
Has this broker ever been deployed to? Are the EGs running? The error means that the EG did not respond. Does this broker startup fine or does it encounter the same problems? Is your DB local or remote? |

Hi
Our settings in the .profile for LANG are
export LANG=en_GB.ISO8859-15
export LC_ALL=en_GB.ISO8859-15
and yes its a new broker
and our Config Mgr DB is on the Windows, as it can't run on the solaris server. |

Hi,
It may be a permissions issue?
are you running the mqsilist command as the useried that the broker is running under? if not you wont get a response the command simply hangs.
this maybe related to the errors you're getting in the logs about starting the execution groups also?

The userid i am using to run the mqsilist command is the same user that created the broker |
