Got a strange one here.

MQ V5R3 CSD03 was running on Aix 5.1 for ages.

Admin upgraded to CSD08, and got problems with chinit. CSD10 was already running on another AIX box, so CSD10 was applied.

CSD10 seemed to apply well... no FDC's no errors. Can put to a queue, read from a queue, listener & initiator all start. Tested JMS using a small java class I test with and all aok...

But...

The main java adapters we use report an "exception in thread main" error and dies. JRE1.4 not been touched, and I would expect the mq java classes to be consistent. The java class executes, but doesn't get further than attempting to open an mq queue...

Tried to rollback to previous CSD, but not found in the smitty software list.
Looked at re-installing mq, but dependancy on R3/Link which I don't want to touch just yet.

Here's the crunch:

1. Anyone had problems with mq java on aix with csd10 [or any other CSD]?
2. Anyone got a surefire, if not standard, way to get back to CSD03?
3. Anyone care to comment with suggestions.

Cheers,

dg

Well, sorry I doubted but nothing to do with MQ!

Unfortuantely, a 3rd party product had been installed that was highjacking the mq binaries...

A quick hack at the LIBPATH and normal service was quickly resumed.

Apologies if I managed to concern anyone.

Cheers,

dg
