hi all

i am running MQ 5.3 csd07 on solaris box.

the question is: how could i discard a message that has been in DLQ for more than 7 days regardless of the MQRC?

Well, you should be able to write a rule for the presupplied Dead Letter Handler to do this...

Or you could write a program to browse/destructive get messages...

There was pseudocode posted by Roger Lacroix to do this in the last month or so...

did u mean amqsdlq or using rules table with runmqdlq?
