Hi, in our QA environment I have had two recent problems, a QMGR crash and channels stuck in bind. There were many fdc's and I see the following (summarized) in both:
AMQ02356.0.FDC 2005/09/09 11:30:25 E:\Programs\MQSeries\bin\AMQPCSEA.EXE
2356 1 XY398006 xcsFreeMemBlock STOP OK
AMQ01848.0.FDC 2005/09/09 11:36:16 E:\Programs\MQSeries\bin\amqzxma0.exe
1848 1 XC130031 xehExceptionHandler xecF_E_UNEXPECTED_SYSTEM_RC OK
AMQ06728.0.FDC 2005/09/09 11:36:18 E:\Programs\MQSeries\bin\amqzlaa0.exe
6728 57618 XY458020 xstRebuildHeap STOP OK

We're at CSD08, moving soon to 11 (per IBM rec) but does this ring a bell with anyone? It has (so far) only occurred on one QMGR and all our's are basically identical., I'm stumped.

could you print the top part (header) of the FDCs? That should say something, but my hunch says, this is resource problem..

I believe you need to upgrade to a later CSD:

Have you thought about another reason like having a persistent message on the XMITQ that is bigger than the maxmsglen on the channel ?

Enjoy
