Folks,
I tried to search the forum for the keywords "MQJE001" and "2009"
The result set contained "MQJE001" or "2009"
I tried:
MQJE001 2009
MQJE001 AND 2009
AND MQJE001 AND 2009
but none helped. Does anyone know the recipe for searching the forums using expressions? |

Neil,
I tried the search query you listed and had the same problem. However, I then tried a few others, and the search function behaved as you would expect. For instance, when I entered:
"transmission queue full"
with "Search for any terms or use query as entered" selected, I got over 1300 results.
Then when I entered:
"transmission queue full"
with "Search for all terms" selected, I got 6 results.
Finally, I entered:
"transmission AND queue AND full"
with "Search for any terms or use query as entered" selected, and as expected I also got 6 results.
I believe the problem you encountered is because your search query contained a number (2009), and these aren't indexed in the database, whereas words like "transmission" are. For example, if you enter "2030" as the search query, you'll get no results, even though we clearly have hundreds of posts with that term. So for the short term, we'll have to deal with it, but I'm working on a fix that will index not only words, but numeric values in the index...

| Thanks Brandon ... not so much a good catch as something that will come up again and again. Since MQ error codes are just numerics, searching for a numeric is going to be (opinion) a frequent activity. Hoping that you can effect a fix ... again ... love the updates and some minor glitches are nothing to worry about. |

Hi There,
There is an easy solution out
Search using GOOGLE.
Give search as "2009" site:mqseries.net
I got two threads as results.
