Hi,
i have installed MQ Explorer on a Windows client and i have estabilished a remote QueueManager connection with a linux machine.

I can browse queues and processes, but MQ Explorer crash when i try to browse channels.

These are the details of the problem:

App.Name: mmc.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.2180
Mod.Name: mfc42u.dll
Mod.Ver 6.2.4131.0

There is also a file created in the temporary files folder, which name is

MQ Explorer only comes with MQ Server (MQ Version 5). I do not know if that has changed with MQ version 6.

What MQ Version do you use and did you really install the MQ Explorer on an MQ Client? If so, is this supported with your MQ Version?

Hi Butcher,
MQ Explorer version is 5.3, and it should be supported by my MQ Server 6.0.

"should"?

so your local installation is mqseries server version 6, and you are trying to access mqseries server 5.3? or is it the other way round?

mhhhh did you find in the 6.0 dokumentation that this is supported?

the object attributes in 6.0 differ from the 5.3 objects, so this may not work.

Might have to do something with the capability to compress data on the fly that is not present in 5.3

Why oh why not use it the other way round: from Linux or Unix use an X11 emulator and run the eclipse GUI.

Enjoy
