Are you joking? There was no MQ Explorer with v2 of mq.

To correctly identify the software version, type in mqver on a command line, post the results.

Also, as was previously suggested by hopsala, take a look at the amqerr0x.log files, and after carefully scrutinizing them, post the relevant content.

please try to avoid discrepancies in your posting, do some better investigation before posting (mq version 2.1 - 5.3, no fdc file, etc).

please post the total header section of the fdc file, and check the trace part if there is additional useful information

is the user that tries to create a qmgr system administrator and / or member of group mqm ?!?

The FDC file says "Access Denied" so please check the permissions. Also please make sure you are administrator of the box. I would suggest you un-install everything and then start of fresh.

1. Log in as administrator ( or any-id who had admin authority)
2. Un-Install MQ 5.3
3. Re-install MQ 5.3
4. Install the latest CSD

Then try to create the queue manger and let us know what happenes.

Also, could you please reply to the posts atleast so that we could answer, else be courteous enough to post that your problem is been fixed.

sometimes people mix mq explorer and mq services. are you sure you use the right one?

if mq explorer, try the refresh button, if that does not work try "action/show queue manager / show local queuemanmager" and supply the queuemanagername.

in addition, in the properties of "queue managers" "discover websphere mq resources on this computer" should be ticked

sorry. you say it works after re-installing, in the next post you say it does not work.

i think something is wrong with your installation, with your machine, with your prerequisites, with your csd level, with your fingers, or with something else not mentioned in this list.

in addition, you do not give useful information, what you say is confusing and changes from post to post, and you ignore most of the questions we asked when trying to help you (can you intput the queuemanager in the mq explorer? did you try that? did you try the refresh? you dont tell us)

sorry, but i am at my wit's end here.... (hope this expression is right).
