Hi,
Just like for J2EE applications hosted on websphere Application server, app server hosts connection pool to connect to MQseries. For standalone JMS applications, does MQseries have such kind of connection pool which can be used? or do we need need to establish MQ connection every time we need to communicate with MQ?.

The Using Java manual is pretty good about describing some options.

To be more specific, look at the samples "MyServerSession.java" and "MyServerSessionPool.java".
