Did version 6 of MQ address putting limitations on the numbers of active SVRCONN connections (MQ Clients) via some type of attribute or some other method? Otherwise, I will write the exit. z/OS is the platform by-the-way.

I don't think anything has changed in regard to max svrconn channels....

Nope.
We bought Roger's Capitalware MQAUSX Security Exit to address this. It works great and is extremely configurable.
No z/OS version yet, but I believe he is close to releasing a version for that platform.

I stopped Mark Taylor at the conferance and spoke to him about it. He said it is a well known requirement. And that is all he would commit to.
