Description: J2EE/Java Technical Hands-on Architect, that has built Enterprise Level information systems using RUP or iterative methodology.

Architectural/Design/Process Skills: RUP or Iterative methodology/artifacts, UML, Rational Rose, TogetherJ/Together for Websphere Studio Edition, J2EE/standard Design patterns, Strong OOA/OOD. Fluent on UML Design Artifacts, Ability to lead developers towards specified architecture implementation.

Technical Skills:

J2EE/Java (EJB1.1/2.0, JSP 1.1, Servlets 2.3, JDBC 2.0) Websphere 5.0, WSAD/Eclipse, WebSphere Clustering, Oracle 9i+ database, Struts 1.1, Hibernate O-R mapping, and EAI integration products.

Experience:

6-12 years of experience working as an architect, lead developer. At least 3 years of J2EE architecture and development.

Optional Skills:

Enterprise Security experience a big plus
Websphere Portal experience also a big plus
J2EE Architect Certification is a plus
TIBCO, Mercury, J2EE Security and Websphere Administration also a plus
Domain Design, Patterns and Aspect Oriented Programming are plus
Eclipse Plug-in Design/Coding, Pragmatic Automation and data level Security

Position Type: long time consultant

Interview Process: Candidates take a multiple choice J2EE and a simple UML design test prior to face-to-face interviews; must be present in the White Plains, NY office; a preliminary phone screen would be conducted.
