Hi,

Somewhere along the line an administrator of our WBIMB environment has issued the "mqsisetdbparm" command to ensure a WBIMB broker uses a different user id and password when connecting to a particular database.

How can we find out what the current settings applied to our broker are? I've had a look at the Broker databases and can't find anything there, any ideas of a command or where to look for this information? We're using Solaris, WBIMB 5.0.1 CSD3.

TIA,

Kulbir.

The user ID/password pair is created in the DSN folder under the broker's registry folder.

Hi,

How does this work on Solaris?

Thanks,

Kulbir.

You won't be able to determine the value of the password, as it's encrypted in the Password file.

That's ok, just the user id will do for now. Just need to find out which user id the broker is attempting to use for a particular Data Source.

Thanks.

As Jeff stated, it's located in the DSN folder of the broker's registry: /var/mqsi/registry/<broker-name>/DSN/<data-source>/
