Hello

I am trying to install mqseries v5.3 on fedora core 4 :

I am following the famous instructions about LD_ASSUME_KERNEL , then (as root)
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19
Ok ... next ... license :
[root@darkstar mq53]# ./mqlicense.sh
Displaying license agreement on :0.0
Exited with: 9
Agreement accepted: Proceed with install.
Next... rpm packages ..
[root@darkstar mq53]# rpm -Uvh MQSeriesRuntime-5.3.0-2.i386.rpm

Hello,
I’ve encountered the same problem installing WMQ 5.3 with CSD02 on FC4. I managed to install base packages without exporting RPM_FORCE_NPTL=1 and LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 which where causing rpm to crash.
This version was not functional at all, with or without above exports.
When I tried to install CSD07 the pre script failed when calling mqver and I used --nopre (or --noscript) option of rpm.
After installing CSD7 I've added the export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19
line to .bashrc file for mqm and every user profile I use to run mq commands.
I’m using this platform for an ICS development instance and there where no mq problems since installation.
