I'm developing a simple message flow to map from one XML format to another using the mapping node. The structures are fairly similar, mostly it's a question about changing tags and moving some elements to a deeper level. I'm on WBIMB 5.0 CSD04.
I created all message sets from XSDs and they seem to work fine. I created the mapping in the mapping editor, and it looks nice too. It's two different customer information messages, so I have a repeatng Customer element that contians customer type, name, last name, address, zip code and so on.
Now, when I test the message flow with a message, only one element in each Customer gets mapped. And it's not even the first element or anything, it's the second or third. So it doesn't perform all the mappings the I specified.
Does anyone else have this experience from the mapping node, and did you solve it? As my (and others) experience of the mapping node is rather bad, should I drop the mapping node altogether and use ESQL? Does the mapping node get better (as in, starts to work at all) in CSD05?
Bonus question: I could also do this using the XSLT node, I guess. Does anyone know of a tool that I can use to create XSLT using two XSDs as a base? |
