Hi Steve,
Thank you for your interest in MQ Visual Edit.
MQ Visual Edit has 3 build in testing tools to do exactly that:
- Get Server
- Put Server
- SIM Server
The Get Server can continously remove messages from a queue during a testing session. You can have an unlimited number of Get Servers running.
The Put Server can continously put or put a defined number of messages to a queue during a testing session. The message data can be from a simple input from the screen or from a file or from a VEQ Backup file (this file can contain many messages with both MQMD and message data). You can have an unlimited number of Put Servers running.
The SIM Server is a "server simulator". It gets a message from a queue and sends a reply message to the "ReplyToQ" and ReplyToQMgr" fields specified in the original message. The SIM Server can continously get messages from a queue and then send a reply message during a testing session. The reply message data can be from a simple input from the screen or from a file or from a VEQ Backup file (this file can contain many messages with both MQMD and message data). You can have an unlimited number of SIM Servers running.
Also, while any of the Servers are running, the user can still use MQ Visual Edit.
You can download a 30-day trial of MQ Visual Edit from:

Hope that helps.
