First of all, which language?

Regardless of the answer, you should have simply searched the forum. My search for "distribution list" yielded:

and I only browsed through them...

btw, i've always been interested in this specific issue; might I inquire what is your buisness need for using distribution lists?

there is a section in the applications programmers guide that deals with distribution lists. its all in there.

check your directories for imqdput.cpp sample (this one is on linux in /opt/mqm/samp).

distribution list are currently not available in zos (version 5)
