I have recently upgraded my WBIMB 5.0 FP4 servers to FP5. I have also built several with FP5 to start with. Those which were upgraded from FP4 to FP 5 produced installation errors. Although the fix pack is allowed to complete the install it produces error pop-up containing "One or more errors have occured during the replacement of files...(messages\imbmsgv500.dll) with files (messages\imbmsgv500.dll)...Refer to the uninstall log for further information. I looked up mqsi5.log where I have found this error : error code = -30018; message = "The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open."
So far I have not been able to find any working remedy for this. I have stopped broker and config services prior to the install, I have also tried stopping Windows Management Instrumentation service but to no avail.
Any ideas ??? |

Set configmgr and broker services to manual, and restart the machine? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks both for your replies...
It appears that HEROIX process - eQEvent.exe was holding the above mentioned .dll. (very cool tool that ProcessExplorer, I think I'll put it in my right pocket). Once the process was terminated the FP 5 install completed with no errors.
Thanks again,
