Till now I have been using WMQ Tool from niratul, but now I have found out it is working only with Websphere MQ versions 5.x.

I used it because with it I could browse the whole queue, delete as many messages I would like, export definitions of Managers, Queues, Channels etc.
Sitting here with MQ 6, I have to recreate the things one by one.

Can anybody recommend me a tool for Websphere MQ v6, under Windows.

Thank you for the link.

But would you happen to know how I can recreate all the queues, we are talking about 350 queues. Via WMQ Tool the user could save all the info about a MQ Manager and later recreate it, if needed, by just executing a plain text file containing the information about all elements.

My request was for such a program, because you can imagine how long would it take to recreate 350 queues, and when there are so many, definitely the user will make a mistake.

Thanks.

Have a look at ms03 -- saveqmgr.

This is simply the saveqmgr support pack. It will produce a file that can be given to runmqsc.

gorjy,

WMQTool 5.3 works fine with MQ V6 queue manager. Only thing you have to do is, replace the jar file com.ibm.mq.jar that WMQTool uses with that of MQ V6. You may find this jar file in MQ V6 installation at following location.

<MQ V6 base directory>/Java/lib

With replacing the JAR file the tool was able to connect to the new version of MQ server and saved me a lot of time. Now your tool is working again like before.

Many thanks for the help neelatul.
