Hi,

We have a number of Java/JMS applications talking MQ.

Can someone recommend a java monitoring tool?

I want to check for bottlenecks, threading issues, etc

Thanks in advance

I think you want to add JMX capabilities to your application.

Then any java monitoring tool will be able to track and manage your app.

Hermes may help you to some extent, its has some WMQ specifics but cannot monitor the WMQ servers themselves, you'll need one of the tools mentioned in these forums for that. Hermes is JMS focused as it works with many other messaging products so it useful when working in a mixed environment. The Capitalware products give you a more WMQ view of the servers and queues however if thats what you need.

Hermes is handy to monitor queue depths and do administrative tasks with JNDI as well as browse/get/put/remove messages. Its also free and Apache 2.0 licensed.
