Hi,
I would like to know if a VLAN IP can be put in the connection name in a cluster sender/receiver channel. If not then how can i use a VLAN IP in MQ transmission?
Will this increase the speed compared to a regular IP address put in the connection name.
MQ doesn't like network load balancers on it's channels. Channels are long-running (relative to TCP/IP) communications. If an end point changes during the communication, everything will fall down.
If a VLAN IP does not involve network level load balancing, then it should work just fine, and provide only the speed improvements that it provides to other protocols. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.

You can use virtual ip addresses all you want as long as you remain connected to the same physical server during an MQ connection to a client or another server. virtual ip will not affect speed in any measurable way. _________________ Mikhail Malamud
