A new SupportPac (MH01) is available for download at the following url: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg24010096

The SupportPac extends the ability of the WebSphere MQ Explorer to examine your MQ configuration and look for potential problems. Using an Eclipse-style "Problems View", the Healthcheck highlights errors and makes recommendations from within WebSphere MQ Explorer - alongside your MQ object definitions.

No, I don't believe so.

The closest alternative I am aware of is to use a v6 Explorer with Healthcheck installed and connect it to a v5.3 queue manager. That would let you run the checks on a v5.3 queue manager.
