I'm new to MQ and am trying to find out if MQ can be run on HP-UX on an Itanium 64 bit processor? If so would it be possible to do API programming on this platform too? The server has already been specified so I need to find out if MQ will work with it. I can't find anything on the IBM website for this platform so I'm guessing that it's not possible?

Further investigation seems to suggest the way round this is that you can run PA-RISC compiled executables on Itanium servers because there is a PA-RISC emulation package called Aries on the Itanium servers.

So it looks like in order to compile a program that uses the API calls from the shared libraries it needs to be done on a PA-RISC machine and then it can run on the Itanium. Does this seem sensible?
