Hope someone can help.
I am in the middle of upgrading from MQSI version 2.1 to WBI v5, with both the Configuration Manager and Broker installed on the same Windows machine. I have exported the Message Flows and Message Sets, uninstalled MQSI apart from the data (Database tables) and have installed WBI. After migrating the Broker tables I tried to start the Broker but had the following error
'D:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ Integrator 2.1>mqsistart COAL
WebSphere MQ queue manager running.
BIP8808E: License file 'ANY_5724E11_5.0_001.LIC' not found or not valid. For mor
e information refer to the WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers online
help.
WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers requires that the file 'ANY_5724E
11_5.0_001.LIC' is present and available and is a valid license file. For more i
nformation refer to the online help.
Check that the specified file exists. .
After looking in the documentation I tried the following two commands :
'D:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ Integrator 2.1>mqsidisplaycapacity
BIP8810W: Insufficient license units.
The purchased processor allowance (0) is less than the number of processors (1)
in this machine.
Ensure sufficient license units have been purchased and use the WebSphere Busin
ss Integration Message Brokers mqsisetcapacity command to set the purchased pro
essor allowance for this installation. For more information refer to the online
help.
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
D:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ Integrator 2.1>mqsisetcapacity -c 1
BIP8041E: Unable to open the selected file 'd:/Program Files/IBM/WebSphere MQ I
tegrator 2.1/config/mqsicap.inf'.
The file selected could not be opened for read or write.
Ensure that the file used for input exists, that the file specified as input is
not also the file specified for output. Also ensure that the file is not locked
by another user.
'
In the above error it states that the mqsicap.inf could not be opened, but when I went to check the file the /config directory was not there.
Any ideas? Where do I get this .LIC file from?
Thanks[/b] |

Did you install v5 into a folder named after 2.1?
Did you apply the latest FP after installation? Did you apply any FPs?
Did you check that the license file exists? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes I checked to see if the .LIC file exists by searching the entire drive, but it was not present.
I directly installed the WBI Fixpack 4 into the old 2.1 folder as it says in the redbook.
How do I get this .LIC file? |

An WBI FP is as far as i know a full install of WBI.
But without the license file.
The license file (2 or 3) are on the original CD. |

Make sure you rerun the CSD. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
