i am trying to use the classes in jplugin.jar. its included in my classpath.
In my toolkit in the java development perspective, i tried to create a class with package com.ibm.broker and import com.ibm.broker.plugin.*.

is there something i need to do for the toolkit to recognise the package
com.ibm.broker?

wheni type "com." i see a list of packages but not the com.ibm.broker

any suggestions?

On my toolkit, on the java development perspective i see the JRE_LIB as

install-directory\eclipse\jre\lib\rt.jar

and i see the packages below that, should i add the jplugin.jar file like this for the packages in that to show up, am i missign something here?

i already set the classpath to include jplugin.jar

had to include the jplugin.jar file in the library. it works now.

i am trying to find the jplugin.jar file in one of our unix servers. I am not able to find it. i am pretty sure the broker is a CSD4.

any suggestions as to where i can find it?

You will not need to know where it is on the broker machine.

When you deploy your plug-in, it will already be on the broker's classpath.

Also, Please Read

i am not using a plugin, i found the jplugin.jar on Unix. thanks for the link, but this is what i really need help with

on windows,
i had a class that used methods in jplugin.jar. An external call from my ESQL worked fine.

i FTPed this class file to UNIX.

now on UNix,
i have this directory where i FTPed my class into, included in the classpath. i also have the jplugin.jar file included in the CLASSPATH

now i get BIP2943 that says the class cannot be found.

not sure if i am missing something. any suggestions?
