I have 2 MDB's that process messages with MQ 5.3 and WAS 5.1.
Although one uses connection pooling the other must process messages in order so I can only set the max connections to '1'.

Doesn't this business rule cause me to lose the ability to cluster my application servers and MQ cluster?

I understand that it is imperative that the messages on that queue be removed in the right order.

Why should it ?
Anyway the cluster doesn't change anything....You can only do a get on a local queue.

If the get order is of such importance you might want to avoid load balancing the queue.
