So, apparently, on one of our systems, we ended up creating an lv that mounts to /var/mqm/logs, instead of /var/mqm/log.
Consequently, the /var/mqm lv is using much more space than it should, and the /var/mqm/logs lv is empty.
Can anyone think of a reason not to stop all the qms, copy the files and then remount the lv in the right place? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi Jeff,
I would take a full backup before trying it, but in principal it shouln't be a problem. I don't think MQ realy takes notice of it.
cheers

You should definitely be able to do it. |

+1
MQ doesn't really care if it's writing to a simple directory or a mounted Filesystem. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

I knew that.
I just wanted to confirm that cp wasn't going to do something bad to the files... _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
