I suggest that you:
1. Read THIS; then
2. Search THIS (or the one appropriate to your version in use). _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

the word "maximum" means "largest allowed".
the word "uncommitted" means "not yet available".
the word "message" means "discrete package of information". |

So izit means that uncommitted message means that msg that had not been put into the queue due to error?? Or non-persistant msg? |

It means neither of those things. Give the documentation another try, remembering that WMQ is not a simple product & is not for the layman.

It is our lot in life to translate for the less technically adept. It won't be the last time you have to do this.
Also your boss, your problem. I have enough trouble with my boss. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Research the standard IT definitions of "syncpoint", "unit of work", "transaction coordination", "back out", "multiphase commit". These concepts apply to messaging using MQ. _________________ Glenn |

Go to Mr. Google, and search on mq+maximum+uncommitted+messages. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
