we currently have MQ CSD05 and want to upgrade this to CSD08, do we have to delete the existing queue manager and reinstall it? can we take a backup of all the queues and channels or is there a more gracefull solution to this? |

You don't have to delete the queue manager to upgrade CSD Level. Look at the readme file with the CSD.
It's a good idea to take a backup of the MQ Objects, just in case. There is a support pack MS03 to save the queue manager objects. You can save the authorities with amqoamd.
Search this site for save queue manager or amqoamd and you will find enough information.
You can download the MS03 support pack from the following link.

If you are using MA0C (pub/sub), the readme will tell you to uninstall it since it is now included in CSD08. |
