I am interested to know if there is an out of the box utility from MQSeries for putting say 1000 messages in a queue that can be used for testing purposes.

Also what is the command to alter an existing queue manager in an unix box to default.

Thanks.

Search for Support Pack ih03,
there are some useful c programs included.

Its also not good at all to use default queue managers.

There is no command available, you must manually edit the /var/mqm/mqs.ini file and modify the DefaultQueueManger: stanza.
