Hello,
I am suffering with two problems.,
1. I am getting problems in clearing my instances & work items. For some reason, when I was trying to
force finsih a work item, it is giving timeout error. It is not allowing me to terminate
the process instances also. The problem started like this.
I have checked out a workitem and stopped the administration server using administration
utility. After some time, I've started the admin server using windows services. After I open the
webclient, the work item is showing as checked out. It was not allowing me to do cancel checkout/
force restart/ force finish/ terminate workitem. It is going into time out error. It is giving
same error when I try to terminate process instances also.
I would be glad if someone can give me a solution to clear my instances.
2. Whenever I shutdown my system, my workflow config ID is not allowing me to create any
process instances. So everytime, I am creating a new config ID. Can anybody tell me what
would be the reason.
Environment: Windows 2000, MQWF 3.4, Webclient with Tomcat.
Regards,
Mike. |

1. Do you have any error messages in the logs? Can you logon with the fat client?
2. I am not understanding what you are saying here. While MQWF is shutdown you should not be able to create instances. However, you should be able to start up that configuration and then create instances. If you are using the config utility to create a new configuration each time, something is radically wrong. _________________ John McDonald

Here is the error for my first problem.
Report creation = 2/4/2004 11:10:54 AM
Related message = FMC31050E An error has occurred which has terminated processing.
Error location = File=e:\v340\src\fmccdvmq.cxx, Line=1525, Function=FmcMQDevice::OpenQueue
Error data = FmcFMLException, MQReturnCode=2, MQReasonCode=2085, MQObjectName=FMC.AUDIT.TRAIL.DATAGRAM
Can you tell me what do I need to do to kill my process instance?
The second problem is, I need to create a new config ID everytime, whenever I shutdown my computer.
Regards,
Mike. |

Are you using Audit to MQ? If so is your audit queue defined?
Are there other messages in fmcsys.log? Or in the option l;l of fmcautil? _________________ John McDonald

Thanks Jmac,
The first problem has been solved. The audit trail queue was not defined properly. The second problem bothers me a lot. For some reason, when I shut down my computer, the config ID was not working. So, everytime, whenever I restart my computer, I have to create a new configuration ID. Do you have any idea, what could be wrong.
Thanks
Mike. |

What happens after you restart?
Do you see the workflow databases
do you see the workflow queue manager
do you see the workflow configuration
do you see the enty in the services file
