I am repeatedly getting this error on my AIX system
but with a different process ID each time.
AMQ6183: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred.
EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the WebSphere MQ error recording routine has
been called. The failing process is process 618646.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.
I am not able to resolve it. |

Did it run well before or is this the first time use of mq on this machine? if so, maybe the os requirements are not set well.
Check for fdc files in the error directories, sometimes they give hints what could be wrong and check for additional messages in the log files.
what kind of work is the queuemanager doing when this error occurs?
Install the newest CSD and / or check the IBM Support for possible reasons, if the error persist "Contact your IBM support center"
Do you really think that the information you provided is sufficient to get help?
I am sure that IBM likes to know information like aix version, mq version, csd level and so on, this information could be useful here too.
I am reading (and sometimes posting) here for some weeks now, and i often saw posts like "i have an error, please help" without any technical information (and often with questions that could be solved within minutes by looking into the manual).
Sorry for getting off toppic, i really appreciate any question here and the discussions and solutions provided, it all helps us to share knowledge and to learn, but please work on the "quality" of the questions. _________________ Regards, Butcher |

There should be an FDC file associated with the message that you got. Look for it in the errors subdirectories and post the top of it here. |
