OK,
I have created a message set, message definiton file, and now I need to set the default attribute of an element to "blank" I think I need to do this within a compund message type, but I CANNOT figure out how to add compund mesage types to a message set.
I have tried to follow the documnetation but end up in circles. I see no optin for a compund message type.
I'm trying to use the SAP IDOC parser to map messages coming from SAP via the mySAP.com WBI adapter, to replace R3Link.
Can you help? |

You can set the default value for an element in the logical properties for the element.
I don't know whether you know this but...here's how to find the logical properties:
If you look at the message set editor, there's a spreadsheet-like pane at the top right showing the structure of the message. At the bottom of this pane there are two tabs (Overview and Properties). If you click on properties you will see the logical properties of the highlighted object. The physical properties are also available by clicking on the tree at the left of this pane. |

Perhaps I need to clarify a little more. Other than not being able to find out how to add compund types. what I'm really striving for, is how to set padding characters, justifications and the like. |

Ahhhhh, I just figured it out.
Expand Message Set Definition(mxsd file)
Expand Elements and Attributes
- Click on Message
- Click Overview Tab
Select the Element
- Click the Properties tab
Setting are in there.................. |
