I have installed IBM MQSeries 5.1 on Windows 2000 server and am trying to create a Queue Manager.

When on do that nothing happens and this is what is logged into the event viewer

DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer ꨠÃƒ using any of the configured protocols.

I would like to know how I can resolve this issue.

I don't believe MQ5.1 is compatible with W2000 Server and I know for sure that MQ5.1 is no longer supported by IBM.

WMQ5.2 is not supported anymore either. But it should work on a W2K Server.

WMQ5.3 is the current supported Veraion of MQ and they just release CSD10.
