HI I have a queue manager (QM_Edirectory) that is runnning on solaris 2.8. The mqseries version is 5.2.

The problem i am having is that I currently have 14 clients connected to the queue manager but when i try to connect with the 15th client then it throws and error saying it can't find the queue manager. it is my understanding that you can have hundreds of client connected to the same queue manager at the same time. Does anyone have any idea

For starters, I'd suggest that you upgrade to WMQ 5.3. In regards to your specific problem, are there any messages showing up in the log file? I'm guessing that you have the MaxChannels parameter set to larger than 14?

Try this;

# echo "dis chs(*)" | runmqsc | grep RUNNING | wc -l

What do you get?
