Hi,

I get the AMQ6090 error messages even when i use the "runmqsc" command. There are some qmgrs defined long back and the default qmgr showing in the mqs.ini file is not visible in the "/opt/mqm/qmgrs" directory. So i am not able to start the default qmgr. Should i alter the mqs.ini default queue manager to that which really exists?/

I get an error when doing this, i am not the root user and i belong to the mqm group.Any tips please why this is happening. Appreciated.

crtmqm -u SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE SAMPLE
AMQ6090: WebSphere MQ was unable to display an error message 20006220.

Pls advise.

sk.

Set environment variable
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19

WebSphere MQ requires that this environment variable is exported
from any shell where installation is performed, WebSphere MQ control
commands are issued or WebSphere MQ applications are executed.

I am not sure why 'young Bill' put a quote on Linux RHEL3 in this thread.... what's that suppose to mean?

Anyway, what could have happen with the mq setup? You have mqs.ini that does not correlate with your actual setup. If the mqs.ini is showing non-existence queue manager, this must be a wrong file, or could have been copied from other machine. You might want to remove the DefaultQueueManager stanza from the mqs.ini file.

Something is not right in your system if the mqs.ini does not reflect the correct setup. Someone deleted the default queue manager from the system, and then recover the mqs.ini from the backup....

if you READ it, you would see it is simply stating to add
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 to resolve the error message.

cheers!

There were two errors in the original question.

Does it has anything to do with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL? I would imagine if that's the case, the variable has been setup in the env. /profile.

But then again he's not using root. hmmmmm

It might also be that the variable has been setup in command line mode and created the QMGRs and worked their way.

Anyway setting that variable should solve the problem.

Yes.. I can understand the kernel issue. And the problem with crtmqm.

How does it relate to the problem with mqs.ini? He has a problem with mqs.ini having a default queue manager that is not in the system?

I think young Bill's reply was based on
Code:
20006220
error message.
