Sorry folks, I was away so did not reply.

Just to answer the questions from Jeff below, I did all that until the step where I wanted to check out the broker. Before I check out I have to go to Topology and create the broker and then only can I be able to check out but the problem I have is that I cannot create the broker as the topology tab does not respond back to me.
What I did was uninstall everything and install it again. The only diffference this time was that I created the groups ahead of time and created the mqsiadmn user before I even started the install. Then I installed the MQSI 2.1 and CSD8. I double checked all teh permissions for the userId before I started the servives and it did the trick.

I guess I should have created the groups as I used to do on NT before I installed on XP also, it was a big pain as this was not indicated in any of the documentation. Alas, it worked what the hell..
