Hi all,

Is clustering on AIX on p360 boxes any different from other platforms. If so what are they and where can i find resources on that...

i was talking in terms of WMQ Clustering. whats HW clustering..does that impact WMQ clustering. Essentially, I have to cluster 3 p360 boxes. I may have to research HW clustering too..do let me knwo what its about.

HW = Hardware

What are you trying to achieve? Failover/High availability?

WMQ Clustering is not going to give you that.

Ok, just one question before i do that. WMQ clustering helps in Load balancing right? Where does HACMP clustering fit in. Is it hardware level clustering in case one of the pSeries boxes goes down..

HACMP = High Availability Cluster Multiprocessing
AIX software to cluster hardware
