I try to access sybase data source in compute node. I'v create new DSN in data source and use mqsisetdbparam set user password. But it can not work. A strange thing is, when I use a username without password, it can work. Who can tell me how to resolve the problem. |

How do you know it does not work? What error messages are produced?
Does the broker service user have different authorities on the database than the broker database user? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

When debug into the compute node, a SQLException was threw to say that connection can not be established. What do you mean about "broker service user have different authorities"? the broker itself use DB2, but our msg flow use sybase. |

When you create a broker, there are two users that are passed to mqsicreatebroker. One is the broker service user, one is the broker database user.
Using mqsisetdbparms allows you to use a DIFFERNT user for user databases than either of those two users.
The question I was asking was if either of those two users also had access to your SYBASE database - and if they had different permissions than the user you set up with mqsisetdbparms.
Can you establish the ODBC connection from the OS, rather than from inside the broker?
Are there errors in SYBASE that occur when you try to connect from the broker? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
